OK this is the DRAMA. We now have a ugly old shower/bath combo. Hubby says. we will redecorate. sink, tub. and so on. We never use that bath. First of all because hubby never finished the original repairs when we first bought the place. Anyway. I think a walk in shower. would be nice. Because there would be more room in the room. He wants just reg. tub and shower. With the extra room, a linen closet could be installed. What do you think??????

A linen closest in a bathroom, you may end up with your towels or whatever else your putting in there, damp there from the humidity from the shower.......just a thought.

has anyone else done this in a bathroom?

has anyone else done this in a bathroom? When we redid the master bath, we installed extra ventilation. that helps with dampness. We know what dampness is in S.La.;)

because of the humidtiy that comes out when you get out of the shower, the dampness/steam has to go somewhere?

ohhhhhhh the closest inside the bathroom will have a door?

o.k.

The walk in shower is the better idea since it will give you more room for storage cabinets etc, plus it would be better if you ever sell the house.

I think an extra closet is worth more than a tub when it comes to a houses value...the more closets the better.

My house was built with a linen closet in the bathroom. Everything is fine and completely dry as long as we make sure the door is shut tight. :wah:

If you still have a bath in the main bathroom id definately say go for the walk in shower for the guest room.

Gimme your phone number, I will pretend im from different bath companies trying to sell him a bath, he will be soooo sick of the word BATH, he will love your walk in shower idea:sneaky::yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I can honestly say I haven't had a bath in nearly 20 years!!!

We have had showers only in the houses we have had since moving to the Netherlands its quite normal here.

I know that in England most people still prefer a bath to be installed and some say that it even lowers the value/saleability of a house if there is no bath and only a shower.

I hope it turns out well whatever you decide
