Goodbye 'reg varney'
Yesterday, one of our last true greatest comedians bowed out at the age of 92.
'Reg Varney' was the star of 60's comedy 'On The Buses'.
As a small child, i absolutely loved this programme and all the characters in it.
Please Please, let's have all the episode's repeated on tv to honour this wonderful man.

Cant access the story from the link you left Oscar
I do remember Reg as the very funny Stan Butler though, did you know he played that role of what should have been a bloke aged 35 whilst he was in his early fifties?.... Looked great didn't he!
A very sad loss.....

I know!! I was shocked when i read that. i thought he was about 35 when he did that. He was such a cheeky chappie wasn't he?
I did catch a couple of repeats on more 4 when i had some afternoons off recently but they need to put them on prime time now. They still make me hoot even today.

I remember yonks ago on some programme. Anna Karen, without all the TV make up etc., was very attractive. You wouldn't have known that she and Olive were the same person.

Hi Kimberley and welcome to the forum. Make sure you stick around and join In some other threads... Maybe post some of your own.
Yes, It Is an old thread and sadly Carolly Is no longer with us. It was a terrible to do. She was arrested for Eel abuse In Bethnal Green and she got 60 days Imprisonment.
However, In her hey day, she was quite a saucy minx and sang for a living where she came Into contact with with the likes of Babs Windsor and Anna Karen.
Maybe when she gets out of pokey, she may come back and post about Bob Grant.
