A warship disguised to look like a tanker, with an armed and trained crew would be a nice surprise for them.

Some would suggest we sit down with the pirates and ask them how they want us to kiss their butts.

An audatious raid, my friends uncle was captured earlier in the year by these Somali pirates if anyone can remember that story. They let him go eventually. Its astonishing that a supertanker can be captured in this way, and there seems to be little that can be done to get it back, which I find strange. Apparently the ransom is almost always paid in these cases and the story is that it will be on this occasion. Though the fact that there is about 100 million dollars worth of oil aboard might provoke a much more serious response than in the past, as oil seems to focus people's minds wonderfully when it comes to military responses to events.

You have to admire their audaciousness don't you?
I'm glad your friends Uncle got out ok.
