Match or Mismatch?

Post by Kindle »

News people today are saying Obama will soon be announcing Hillary as the next Secretary of State.

Do you think she will be able to properly represent his views to the world?

And what about Bill? Will he be there too putting "his" 2-cents in?

Match or Mismatch?

I think she will make a formidable US Secretary of State, in fact I am sure I said somewhere that this is the job I thought she would get, for political reasons as well as her undoubted ability.

I think Obama recognizes that he is better off with the Clintons in his camp, then out of it, they are very influential in the Democratic Party after all. This means he doesn't have to worry about Clinton scheming against him out in the cold, she will be too busy with the job in hand.

Bill will play along with whatever Hilary wants I am sure, he is a consumate politican, and its his Wife's turn for the big job. His own influence and reputation can only be enhanced so I am sure he won't mind.

The main problem she is going to have is that she faces many difficulties, in an era where relative American power is in a slump, while the actual global problems we face are becoming more dangerous and difficult to deal with. While there are several challengers appearing now on the global scene. I suppose the fact that she has a lot of political skills will be good, she is going to need them.
