My mother mailed me............
An accordion! She told me I didn't have anything to do with all my free time, and it would keep me busy. And there it was on the porch when I came home from work. I tried it out-and the bunnies ran and hid! My husband shook his head, and said "Oh no..........." :wah:

My mother loved the accordian, but she never got around to learning how to play one herself! So guess who got to take accordian lessons, little ol Cars!!! I started lessons at around 8 or 9 and took them till I was around 12. I really didn't like the accordian, but every time I practiced she said I sounded so good that it made her cry! So I didn't have the heart to tell her of my dislike for the accordian. I played at family parties, & picknics, & I always got rave reviews from my "captive" audiance! After 12, I played less & less as I got involved after school with football, basketball, baseball, vollyball, actually anything to not play the accordian!!! :wah:

That'll build up your arms Chonsi. Best of luck with it.
I used to enjoy going in the Irish pubs when I was younger. There would always be someone with a piano accordian. They would play while the rest of the pub sang along. Beats tuneless karaoke any day.

I learned to play the accordion one year when I didn't have a piano, it was the only instrument in the house. Yes, I could still slowly play it last night, and my son took a turn with it too. :wah:
