Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

OMG, I feel old:yh_rotfl We rent a house at the beach with a rotary phone. Hubs & I tested our four kids on it. They knew it was a phone, but had not a clue how to work it. They put their finger on the number but did not know you had to dial it. Hilarious.

We had the Bay City rollers....... Yuk!!!!

It was in the 70's that i first laid eyes on 'The Stanglers'. All my friends were swooning over 'Donny Osmond' or David Cassidy' and i was swooning over 'Jean Jaques Burnel' of the Stranglers. I still am swooning over 'Jean Jaques Burnel of the Stranglers and have just seen them all again on their 31 st year tour. They don't make them like that any more :D

I did not go in for all that leg warmer nonsense either. It was Doc Martin boots and leather jackets.

I hated 'Chevvy Chase' movie's and prefered the 'Martin Scorcese' brilliance of films such as 'Goodfellows' and 'Casino'.

I did not cry at E.T. either.

I hated every thing about British fashion in the 70's especially rah rah skirts.

I still have my members only jacket around here somewhere! :wah:

I was completely crazy over Shawn Cassidy!

To this day i can't think about the Preamble to the Constitution or the 3 multiplication table without thinking about those songs! :o

I do know all the words to the Grease soundtrack, i have the album btw, it was actually the first movie i ever went to a theater to see as a kid!

I loved Friday Night Videos, and lets just say everything stopped at my house when Dukes of Hazzard came on! :o

but i'm happy to say i didn't wear leg warmers and i've never said gag me with a spoon! :D
