I miss "The Dukes of Hazzard", as dorky as that sounds. I just couldn't wait all week for Friday night to roll around so I could drool over Bo and Luke Duke!
Followed by Dallas and Friday Night Videos (got to stay up late). There was no MTV for me back then and I could only get my music video fix by watching that show.

little wax tube candy with juice inside. i liked the feeling of chewing on the wax until it lost all the flavour.
the little comic books that had small pics in the upper right corners of the pages so when you flipped the pages really fast it would make a simple animation come to life.

I miss candy necklaces. Little round candies on a elastic string that slips over your head like a necklace. Those kept me entertained for hours.

pull ring cans! Yeah, I know they polluted, but I still liked them. You felt like you were pulling the ring on a grenade every time you pulled one.
I also miss "space food" sticks. Remember those? The astronauts ate them! circa 1965, I think.
How about "mood rings"?
"Pet Rocks"
and the best of all, "POW-MIA" bracelets!

Does anyone here remember "Thingmakers"? You had this hotplate and molds and stuff called "goobledy goop" You filled up the mold, heated it until it changed color and then you peeled out the thing and had a fun rubber toy for yourself!
They had "Creepy Crawlies" expansion mold packs, and "Picadoos" which were great. Just square molds that you could use to create larger patterns. I even had a "shrunken head" mold!
The blasted thing was ridiculously dangerous, though. I don't think I ever played with it without getting burned at least once. It's pulled off the market now.
Or how about the little remote controlled helicopter that was attached to a boom? What was it called? rescue copter? No...I can't remember...but I remember
Hula Hoops!

Fame...used to watch it with my kids
The Waltons
Good old variety shows on a Saturday night
Not being able to find a TV programme that's not violent and full of spiteful people
The sound of grasshoppers....where are they?
My Mum & Dad
Motor racing in the days of Ayrton Senna and Nigel mansell
My kids now they've all left home
Looking after my grandchildren now they're all grown up
Hard toilet paper (only joking)
The peace and quiet of life before mobile phones

I miss having long hair and thinking it was cool. Every now and then I think about letting it grow again, but number one, I need to look professional for my practice, and number two, it would make me look older and bedraggled.

Look what the cat dragged in.

Durn you, Wolverine! You just made me remember my gramma. I can smell her Denture's snuff right now. She's save the glasses & that's what we kids drank from. If we raised too much hell outside & she came to spank one of us, her own border collie, Tippy, would protect us from her. :wah:

b. they wouldn't be able to play without screaming, crying and serioulsy hurting each other
c. TV, mollycoddling and play stations have sucked the creativity out of them
