what some one had or is having for dinner, or do you post just to get your post count up?:)

Well, tonight Mr Oscar made fresh salmon fish cakes with lightly fried flat mushrooms, french frie's and garden peas. This was slightly drizzled with melted butter and sprinkled with a mixture of finely ground herbs.

The salmon was lightly poached in milk and butter with plenty of cracked pepper, when cooked, lightly flaked into a bowl where creamy mashed potatoe was added. Some parsley and salt with a beaten egg was added and then formed into round patty's. Some olive oil was gently heated in a non stick frying pan and the fish cakes were tenderly fried each side until golden brown.

For dessert, we enjoyed a lovely strawberry trifle. This consisted of a base of sponge and jelly, freah strawberrie's topped with creamy custard, finished off with lightly whipped cream.

This was washed down with the finest Brazilian ground coffee.

Later we had a nice cup of British tea with milk and two sugers.

ooohhh yum. Campbells soup is great for sauce's. I'm sure people don't eat it as soup any more.

Hope you're having a great time in NZ.

Yes, I do care Lon:-6. I live vicariously through my friend's journeys of food, entertainment, jokes, and good times while on their holidays to other lands and their experiences, and also throught their daily lives.

I would rather read of these wonderful experiences then wander sadly throught the political and religious threads. These threads add a spark to my life because I know you've enjoyed your meal with yourself, family and friends :-6

So now...tell us what you've eaten and done since you've been in NZ.

It fascinates me to read what you guys over the pond are eating.

Brats and grits for instance.

Brats are spoilt children in UK and Grits is what you get in the crack of your bum on the beach:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
