.....encountered a problem and needs to close

I have been playing a game over the net,and as soon as im ready to start,a window pops up and says it has "encountered a problem and needs to close".Also when I serf the net every time i hit the x in the top right hand corner to close the window it gives me an error to report and everything crashes.Does anyone know what this all is and how to fix it?????

I learned my lesson & never close a pop up by hitting the X in the corner of the box, run your AV and see if it finds anything.

I have ran Nortons Antivirus,and the sum of 20 come up detected.However when i try and delete them it says "Delete Failed".I am about to give up on computers.Very aggrevating.:-3 :-3 :-3 :-5

Abbey is probably correct in here assessment. You can take your CPU to a computer place and they can try to find the problem. My daughter had this problem but hers was due to a bad sector on a section of her software. They had to wipe her hard drive and reinstall the drivers. It will cost you about $100.00.I wish I had better news - AND I am computer stupid so my advise is to take the CPU in for evaluation.
