Sick Parents 'Joke' on their child for Christmas

Post by Oscar Namechange »

If any of us wonder why young children go on to become bullie's torture animals and have no respect for others, then it is down to parents like these.

These parents played a cruel joke on their son which resulted in him bursting into tears. the sicko's then filmed his distress.

Their excuse was that the lad had sneaked a look at his presents.

Can't social services be brought in here?

I for one do not find this funny.

How unbelievably cruel that was!

How can parents do that to their child?! So he peeked. All kids attempt to do that and, more than we realize, do see what they are getting before the big day.

He may have gotten the gift a week later, but we all know that this will never be the joy it could have been. It will be a constant reminder of that terrible hurt he experienced, which was initiated by the two people that should care the most about this child.

Maybe it's not so ridiculous to think about issuing permits to breed.

Absolutely right.

As i said, they'll be wondering in a few years why he's a bully or worse.

What a horrid example top taeach a young kid and they not only found it amusing but to add further to the kid's embarressment, they posted it on line.

There's plenty of childless couples out there who'd give anything to have a child to spoil at Christmas.

What utter Bastards? I hope their house catches fire (when they are all out of course!)

Sometimes kids need reminding that xmas is'nt all about getting all they want.

I say this because this evening on leaving Mums a kid around the same age was running from his mum and giving her cheek lbecause he wanted his presents early looked at me and said "What the f--k are you looking at you

f----r.

Nice!

That was despicable!

Those parents do not deserve this little child and I am hoping someone will do something about this nasty bully!

All kids peek, I did it to.

Its more than just shame, and I am sure with all the publicity and outcrys from everyone, something will be done to her!

what a horrific thing to do to a child!:-5:-5:lips::lips::lips:

I didn't watch the video, just read the article, because I knew that little boy crying would just break my heart and make me angry.

Although we do not know the family dynamics and may not have the full story, I have to say that it's very cold to not only pull a prank like this but to post it for all the world to see.

What kind of sick pleasure are these parents getting from showing their child's disappointment and humiliation?

Couldn't the lesson of "not peeking" be taught in another, more productive way? Besides, who cares if they peek. They are only ruining their own surprise. They aren't ruining the joy of giving the gift. I see adults still shaking presents to see if they can guess what is inside. It's plain and simple fun and anticipation.

What I'm really wondering is, what does the kid have to say? Has he made any kind of statements? Do we know if he said it was okay to post the video because he later thought it was funny? I don't know..... do we have the whole story? I'm hoping he's not embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

So true, abbey. Some kids these days are so ungrateful. But, I think that's due to a lack of proper parenting. Either way, it's sad.

The newspaper is the biggest national newspaper in Britain and when they show some-thing like this, there is usually national outcry and something gets done.

What i noticed was the atrticle said that he believed he was getting the x box, there-fore i'm wondering if the cruel buggers told him earlier that it was what he was getting and so that's what he was expecting.

God, show me a kid that doesn't peek?

I have had every drawer and cupboard out this week looking for my presents :yh_rotfl

to me as a parent, if I couldn't have afforded it, I would have told my child weeks ahead of time and asked him/her to chose something different that they would like.

Its understandable that we can not often afford these kind of expensive gifts, but be honest with your children.

and some kids are gimme gimme gimme, but that is also through the fault of parents always giving in whenever they do want something by moaning or crying.

Plus, who took that film and posted in the newspaper?

Had to be someone that really hated that kid to do something like that, I am glad it was shown, and let's hope maybe she will apologize to her son in a loving and understanding way.

yeah, and that will be a cold day in hell!

Did you all go to YouTube to watch it? Read some of the comments under the video. Great stuff. That wretch of a mother is being slammed all across the internet.

Although making fun of people isn't good, there is some justice knowing that her reputation is trash now.

I wonder if the family regrets posting that at all because of all the negative response it's gotten.

I always wonder about the in's and out's of things....... :D

My parents and family did that....and still plays the occasional practical joke at Christmas time. Things like high price items wrapped in a diaper box or a small piece of jewelry in a box that a refridgerator came in. As a kid we loved it.

HOWEVER, we never had to wait a week. It was known right away it was a joke and the worst part about this is the posting it on the internet. That boy has friends who could see that and cause more harm than anything with the petty things kids tease about today. That could have horrible consequences. Shame on the parents.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

I agree with that. My parents went to great lengths to disguise gifts or hide them so well that my scouring the house while they were out was futile.

We also were not told what we were getting so this lad must have been told that he was definately getting the x box as well. To make him wait a week is child abuse.

I know some kids are grabbing and greedy but then who's fault is that? It's the parents that have made them like it in the first place by giving on demand when they are small. It's no good turning round when they are 8 yrs old or so and then trying to punish the child for being greedy. Of course they are greedy, the dumb parents made them greedy.

I for one was disgusted at the video. Quin did peek at some stuff but it was not a big deal. His big prezzie was on top of the fridge for about a month:wah: and he never noticed it. I could see it as it wasn't wrapped. Kids peek. Those parents are pigs and I feel sorry for that little boy. I would never do that to my children. The mother does deserve the critism, the arsehole!

The only prank I've ever played on someone on Christmas was my 16 y.o. stepson. My husband and I wrapped his new winter boots in two separate boxes! But, it wasn't to make it look like he had more presents when he really didn't. There was plenty for him under the tree. He opened the presents one after the other, so it made sense and it was cute-funny. Not mean-funny. He got a kick out of it.

Plus, we didn't have a box big enough for those ginormous boots to fit together! He's a big kid! We HAD to split them up! :p

I didn't watch it at first either, Wendy. But, my husband wanted to see it to make up his mind if it was mean or not. So we did. That poor boy's face made my heart break. And my husband's, too.

Just seeing his eyes well up with tears was too much. He kept staring at his mother for an explanation, it seemed, but all she did was laugh. It was terrible. I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her.
