I frequently post what I have to say and don't ever look back at a thread:D. I don't try to set anyone up for an argument, I just voice whatever thought floats past and keep moving...

Even more often then a one post, I opt not to post at all. Some folks I don't bother to read at all... they bore me. Some I agree with quite a bit, so no need to repeat them.. some I don't understand, but everyone else appears to get it, so i leave them to it rather then interrupt with questions.. but 'afraid' ?

That tends to be a taunt of the weak minded, IMO. I think that if someone uses that as a tactic and it works with anyone... they've found themselves a like minded weakling and I say leave them to it.

I think it bothers some folks when they don't get the number of responses they'd like to a thread they put up ... that's a shame.. personally, I'm used to offering up lead balloons..

I post in threads that the topic catches my interest and I can usually tell by the thread if it is a matter of statement or an ongoing debate.

I would usually check back to see if anyone has responded to my post, or would just continue reading other peoples posts out of interest in their comments.

I am not sure how you can be held accountable for not replying to a post, some posts I read and may just have nothing to comment on. It is not a big deal.

But reading this thread there is obviously something going on behind the scenes so I don't normally get involved in these ones.

If anyone is seeking attention here, it appears to be you. I almost asked what the hard-on was you apparently have for jester, but ya know what..never mind, I don't give a rats ass why... your whole post is out of line, from start to finish and nothing excuses it, IMO.

If it was a joke, it was an extrememly bad one. Throwing my name into it allows me the option to be offended in my own right... and you can bet your sweet ass I am.

Here's two things working in your favor... 1. I've reported this post, so I won't be involved in it's moderation...that's how we keep things fair back there.. and 2. I'm off now to make my iced tea for the morning and probably will forget I ever wandered past this piece of crap once I start dealing with work problems.

It's not the folks I don't care for that **** me off, ya know? It's the ones I do care about that can push my buttons..

I post when something looks interesting or just take a peek to see what they have to say. If I have no idea what they are talking about or have no knowledge......I move on.

I will come back to threads that I have posted on, to see if others have responded and just to see what others have had to say about that thread. Sometimes my posts go unnoticed, sometimes not....pending on the individuals.

I don't believe people are intimidated posting in certain threads, they're just sick of having to prove everything that they say. With some members here, your posts are not given any credence unless you post a link to prove your point. Your opinions are not respected or desired.

I don't post in the religious threads because I'm not religious. I don't post in the political or economy threads because it's sickening to have to prove everything that you post for some members.

I like to post in the fun and fluff threads because real life is just too hard and demanding. I'm passionate about talking about friendships, books, beach, music, travel, movies and food.

I do it all the time when I start a thread:-2.. I tend to ask a question because I'm curious and what I'm curious about is not my own thoughts, but others. I read what everyone says, I just don't respond to it. I'm generally afraid that they'll think I'm questioning what they have to say, if I followup... so I accept their post as is..

But if I read a thread up until the point I respond to what I've read.. I'm writing what I feel or think about what I've read up to that point. The only point I see to revisiting those earlier posts is if I think i missed something... otherwise I tend to only comment on posts going forward from my post and then, only if I have something different to add. I don't keep posting in a thread just to argue the same point over and over.

There are a few members here that I never miss a post on, yet I doubt if I've replied to one more then one or two.

I stear clear of the philosophy posts or anything to do with religions, etc. and besides if you do post there, the "smart" types make you feel like an idiot.

It is simple for me I post in the threads when I want to. I feel no obligation to post in any threads period. I also stay away from Religious threads as there are way to many beliefs, and way to many interpretations. I'm limited in my knowledge of some things so why embarrass myself.

I post when i feel like it. If i see a thread that is not really a discussion but more a arguement of "my thoughts and my way is right, you are wrong" theme i usually pass in responding. The sad thing is to see so many smart intelligent people posting what they know to them to be right but not open minded enough to see there could be another way just as right. and if i see a thread that turns to people bashing i read it but dont post in it.

now. did everybody have a good christmas? i did. i didnt give any xmas presents this year. the first time ever in my life i did this and it turned out to be a wonderful holiday. :-6

i only did the grandkids and little-one this year... told my daughter to give me her spinach and artichoke dip recipe and my son to send me school pics of the grandkids..

this will be the first year in quite a while that I'm not paying it off for months into the next year..:guitarist:guitarist

I still have an ipod nano looking for a good home... i gave the shuffle away to a coworkers kid this morning, but the nano is pink so it's probably gotta be a girl... or a woman... anyone who promises not to sell it is welcome .. you don't sell gifts, IMO..

maybe they have covers like phones so it doesn't matter the color though...

I do notice that alot of people visit my threads and I appreciate that. They don't always post....they just visit and read. That's okay by me.

We do have the right to post when and where we want to.

Our differences are what makes us interesting. We just need to treat each other with dignity and respect.
