New Years Day Superstition

Post by Kindle »

I have family that believes that what you do on New Years Day, you will do the rest of the day.

Consequently, the days activities are chosen with care. If you don't want to be working hard all year, you sit back and do leisure things. If you want to get alot of things done, you work hard that day. If you don't want to be cooking for everyone all year long, you don't invite guests in that day. If you want love and cuddling, well.........................

What does your New Years Day activities predict your year to be like?

NOW you tell us Kindle! That means I am going to be spending this year much like last year. Going into work on my day off to take care of a few things, bringing work home with me, and doing laundry. :-5 :wah:

My family does this too!

I did some work around the house, so i would be able to work all year, had to take my mom grocery shopping, she likes to go somewhere so she will be able to go all year and have money to buy something if she needs too! We had to go by the tobacco fields so we would be able to get out on the farm and do some work! :-6

and of course i had to come here! :yh_rotfl

The wind blew all the leftover leaves in the neighborhood, they piled up almost 3 feet high by the heating/air conditioning gadget outside. I had to clear it, they are calling for some snow this afternoon.

:wah: I was going to do that, but I go into survival mode when snow is mentioned. Being the caretaker, you worry about that stuff. My husband is just pouting because I told him I wouldn't take him out to eat for dinner if it snows....

Here in the South, if you eat collard greens and black-eyed peas on New Years Day you are supposed to come into alot of money during the new year.

Yeah right. :D
