American Idol!

I see a new season of American Idol is set to begin tomorrow!

I know this is very popular but i hate the beginning of this show! :-5

when they show all those poor people in those auditions who can't sing!

it just so people can laugh at them and i've always taken great issue with laughing AT other people about something that can hurt their feelings!

so i generally stay away from the audition shows, i will start watching it when they get to Hollywood and it becomes a serious competition!

i think these folks honestly think they can sing and no one has wanted to tell them they can't i guess! but the hurt looks that some of them have on their face and some of them actually leave there crying!

i don't find that funny!

i don't find that funny!Oh fgs woman.........I sing so I talk from experience now.Those people get their 5 minutes of fame and trust me Hope to get that far even they have to go through other auditions.The producers pick them because they are so bad and it makes good tele.Now most of us know if we sound ok or not so its upto us if we want to make complete idiot out of ourselves.For those that dont realise....well quite honestly they should be told as people are winding them up saying how good they sound....some so called friends and they are the ones in the wrong......still as I say they are on tele watched by millions...watched on UTube......some will always be remembered......not bad for people who cant sing a note.

i tried watching the auditions and they would come in so excited and you think maybe they were gonna be good and then they would open their mouth and they would be horrible! and my heart would sink! so rather than be upset by it, i now don't watch the auditions!:D

i know some of them probably know they can't sing and they just want to be on tv but i was always taught that regardless of the reason for it, you never laugh at anyone elses expense, i know lots of people get a big kick at laughing at the people and to each their own, but i get no pleasure in it so why watch it?

It's a rarity that I watch any of the show, but it's usually my kids that tell me when the auditions are on...I do get bored pretty quickly with it. I guess it's all a matter of who likes what.

I totally agree about laughing at people.....nobody should if that person is in anyway different from the so called way to look or behave in everyday life BUT if you go on these shows knowing how these Judges act towards people......well Hope......if they cant take the heat they shouldn't go in the kitchen;)

yeah i think as long as this show has been on now people should know what to expect and if they want to go on and embarrass themselves and be insulted that their choice, i'm just saying i get no enjoyment out of watching it!

This is who just won our XFactor over here and as I say she was rejected 3 years ago......the video is from the actual winning show after she had heard she had won and the song was released and became Englands number 1 at Xmas...she seems such a nice girl also:)

I think that it is the best part, they know what they are doing and setting themselves up for.

The only reality TV shows I like:

X-Factor (the British version of American Idol)

The Apprentice (Now in three countries America with Doland Trump, England with Sr Alan Sugar and now in Ireland with Bill Cullen) I would watch all of them.

Survivor: I love that show.

All the Big Brother, I am a Celebrity Get me out of Here, and so on are cr@p and I never watch them.

My wife and daughters love the Dancing on Ice and strictly come Dancing.

i admit i did watch one called The Surreal life, where they put a bunch of sorta famous people in a house and make them live there together for a week.

yeah i watched those 2 reality shows i mentioned because although they may have been on a tv show 30 years ago or something, i still reconized them!

the shows i don't like are the ones that take someone off the street that you don't know from Adam, and try to get you interested in them!
