Sharks do see in color but I don't think it matters if they are hungry and you even slightly resemble what the usually eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In the old days when we used long boards for surfing they thought we were just another shark the boards were huge. Today with the short sleek boards its simple to see the resemblance to a seal once again breakfast, lunch or dinner.

From what i know... Yes they do and the great white shark has the most accurate eyesight of all the specie's.

This is why sharks will mistake surfers wearing black or dark wetsuits for seals.

Thanks for that link, it's fascinating stuff and yes, confirms that sharks do see in colour. I did not know that they have retina's and cornea's though.

I have caught shark before (I always put them back) and their skin is like sandpaper as they say.

Great pic as well!!!!
