Anybody Still Got Christmas Decorations Up?

Some folks around here leave there outside lights up all year round, others leave all their decorations up until they decorate for Valentines Day!

My family has always had the belief that it is bad luck to leave Christmas decorations up into the new year, so ours are always taken down and put away by new years eve!

there are still lots of lights on some of the homes, sure looks pretty, but all of ours came down way long time ago.

My husband took down the animated light up reindeer, but left the outside lights up. We don't turn them on though. As soon as we get a warmer day, and I have a good day where my body doesn't hurt bad, I'll take them down. We go through this every year.

We have decorations up through the 12 days of Christmas and then take them down on Epiphany.

My mum has just taken hers down with the help of my niece.

Mum has been sick during Christmas and wasn't able to take the down my rotton brothers wouldnt help and I am too far away so they just had to wait.

As crazy as i am about Christmas I would probably leave mine up if it weren't for that old superstitution about it being bad luck!

I'd probably take everything down the next day

but we usually leave it up till sometime around new year's, give or take.

I have the Nativity Set to put away, everything else is tucked away for the year.

Ours are down by twelfth night (Jan 6th).

I went shopping yesterday and i was suprised at how many houses i saw that were still decorated too! :-3 :wah:

i actually saw a commercial on tv this morning still talking about the holidays! :-5

yeah it's time to move on to the next holiday! it's gonna be Valentines Day in a few weeks!

already bought Mike's chocolates, don't buy cards for anyone, stopped that years ago.

My Christmas tree is still up and I'm not planning to put it away for a while. I love Christmas trees and the decorations on it. The school's Christmas tree is still up, too !

i went to the bank the other day and i noticed that theres is still up too!
