Aging Presidents

Post by Kindle »

The news this morning talked about how visibily the US Presidents age during their term(s) in office. They said they age 2 years for every one year in office. So a 2-term President leaves office in 8 years looking 16 years older.

They said the reason for this aging was the isolation -- the lack of friends in their lives while in office.

I found this interesting and thought about how this would translate into other people's lives. The first thought that came up was the many people in nursing homes who are cut off from family and friends................... Then there are the prisons.......... and I'm sure there are many others.

So, how are you looking these days?

If you are looking older than you think you should, perhaps you don't have enough friends in your life. What do you think? :D

Stess yes. But could that not be because they have no friends to vent to?

Some people have a higher stress level then other and deal quite well without venting to others.

How tiring it would become to constantly hear someone venting, knowing they are the only one that can rectify their own problems. Venting may make some feel better, but does it actual solve the problems they have?

Venting, I think, helps the indivual sort out their feelings from the facts. It's preparatory to taking action on a problem. I think everyone vents. Think of how many "Oh $hit$" you hear. Is this not venting?

Don't hear too much about her anymore, but I'm sure whenever she does anything the reporters will write about her and "by the way did you know......."
