It's that time of year......

Post by Oscar Namechange »

It's that time of year to decide where one will spend one's holiday.

We have been collecting our brochure's this week and narrowed the choice down to the final contestents.

Mr O's choice must be considered of course but only briefly before ignoring anything he says :D

The final choice (taking into account Mr O, as you need some-one to carry the luggage):

America (yes really!!) New York or Georgia.

Scotland... for scenery and fishing

Italy..... for food and decent football

Spain..... for sun

Canada..... For wildlife trips
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon

We are looking at cottages too. One of our dogs suffers from what our vet describes as 'Acute seperation anxiety' so we do want to take them with us.

If we decide to go abroad, Mulder will have to lump it and stay behind :-1

There are some fantastic deals on and of course, with the credit crunch, they are all competing in price :-6:-6

Mr O forbids me to use the wireless slaptop as he believes i will take it to bed with me, wake up at regular intervals and snoop to see where gmc is hiding :wah:

he certainly would not allow one in the luggage :yh_rotfl

That is the first area i make a beeline for on hols, the buildings with history. We would go by coach from Britain if we go. It's very economical although lengthy.

Oscar you left out ALASKA! :wah: If you came to Alaska I would take you on a wilderness adventure, up a river in a canoe and camping with da bears.:yh_rotfl

My brother has a recreation campgrounds on a wilderness river in the interior. Gold panning, fishing, canoing and hiking all for very cheap.

I'm going to Portland to get my granddaughter, then Washington state to see me mum then it's back home with my granddaughter who is six this year. We are going to do some fishing, horseback riding and camping. Then it's back to work for another year. Two, maybe three weeks off. Maybe four if I'm lucky.

My husband has extreme separation anxiety from our pets so we never take vacations together. Well, we took one vacation together but he says my driving scared the you know what out of him and that was that.:)
