Compliment Day

Post by Kindle »

When : Always January 24th

How nice of you to visit this thread today. I can see by you selectiing to read this thread, that you are an intelligent person. You are a kind and inquisitive person. I love the way you......

Yes, its Compliment Day. Today is a great opportunity to say something positive about the people you come into contact with. Everyone has good attributes. ...that's right....... everyone.

•Its a cinch to find compliments for family and loved ones, even for your Mother-in-Law. (Tip: She's probably a good cook.)

•Friends are friends because you see something good about them. Here's an easy compliment to a friend: "Wow, you're very intelligent...you choose your friends wisely".

•It's more challenging to compliment your boss, or people you don't like. Take up the challenge, and find a compliment for them today, too.

Remember: Mama said "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything". After a long search for something good, if you just can't find a compliment for them, then silence is golden.

Compliment Day is celebrated by offering sincere compliments to people you know. It is important that you are sincere. People will see right through insincerity, and you will do more harm than good.

How many compliments should you give out today? The common suggestion is five compliments. Yes, they should be to five different people.

Do you compliment others? If not, do you think you can do this today? Perhaps just thinking about it will make it a better day............................

I don't think compliments bring togetherness.

I think compliments uplift others and yourself because you acknowledge what is good in one another, which in turn brings respect.

I sent 6 friends a sexy mamma kind of text, Carol, Kaz and Kinks off FG got one.

I told my girls how pleased I was they let me sleep in till 7-50am so as a reward they have been allowed to walk to the shop and buy a magazine and one sweet item.

Hubs made dinner and I had a salmon sandwich, I complimented him on his haut cuisine.

Thanks Chez.

And so it begins, with just one, and that one is always yourself because that is the only person one can change. I'm sure you brighten the day of your family and friends with your words. :-6

One gets as much joy from seeing the delight in the person complimented as the person complimented gets from being verbally honored.

I would like to compliment:

(1) The people on this forum for being so "welcoming"

(2) My cat for being so loyal

(3) My close cyber-friend who is always there when I need her

(4) The soldiers who stand up for our County

(5) Last, but not least, my God, who never leaves me or forsakes me.
