What does daycare cost in your area?

Our daughter has a 6 month old baby and a 4-1/2 year old. She pays $310/week.

At $1,240 for a 4-week month, that is more than their mortgage.

They kid and say when the kids are out of daycare, they'll be able to afford various things they do without now; but we who have been there, we know better.

Children are a luxury and luxuries cost money to keep and maintain. :yh_rotfl

That sounds about average. I pay between $1,000-1,250 a month for 4 hours/day nursing. (adult babysitting) An eldercare place you take them to charges $350/week!

I used to pay $100 a week but that was 20 yrs ago. I'm a stay at home mom now. My neighbor babysits for a young kid and charges $100 for a week. I keep telling her to up the price as half the time it's not even worth it as the kid is a total brat.
