Yes, it might be two days here, or at least a delay tomorrow.

When it is all covered outside, I will take pics.

We woke up to our cars covered, but the streets were clear. I really hope that the principal gives them off tomorrow as I don't want to drive in it. She never gives them off...the old fart.

No, I don't have to go to work.
But I always wake up at 5, they haven't callled schools closed yet, so I have to get in the shower, start my morning chores-then they call it! :wah:
But no school, I wonder if they will close the dentist office early today, so I don't have to go there too.....:wah:

Does the principal call the school closed, or the district?
They made Baltimore City go in-to make up for last week. They got the inagural day off, but counted it as a snow day. (how mean) They are trying to make up for it by going in today, at least 1/2 day.

So, Chonsigirl, how will you use the gift of this day --- after playing in the snow and petting the bunnies?????

The school district calls it and our principal at our school then lets everybody know. She is also making them go to school on President's Day so she can give them an extra day off Memorial Day weekend.

We get 5 snow days a year. If we don't use them, we get out early. :-6
I only missed two days this year, for a conference. I never miss a day, much to my students displeasure.:wah:

No, we don't get paid for them. If we have to work over, because of extra snow days to pay back, it is free teaching.
They always find a way to cut off one or two of the ones they owe us, you never know what your last check will be.

Snow Day!
Wooooohooooo Chonsi...good on ya girl. Hope you had a lovely day.
Living along the coast, we don't have too many storms these last few years. We're on the snow line and usually end up with rain/sleet.
Our district usually does not call the day off. We'll get a 90 minute delay to clean up our cars.
I'm not sure about tomorrow. Weather man is calling for maybe 1 to 2 inches of snow tonight, turning to sleep/rain. So we may have a delay and lots of icy roads:-5
I really hate driving in bad weather with my sports car. Luckily though, it held up well last winter driving along the icy roads. Can't car pool because no one lives this way, and it's virtually impossible getting a taxi.
Odie, we don't have snow days built into our calander due to the fact that we get mostly sleet/rain. We also don't get paid for the summer. I also bank my money during the year to have time off in the summer.

Yes, roads are a mess. No school today! I went out to the gymn, since there will be church tonight, so I chiseled off the car, and totted out.

Oh Chonsi:-4
I'm so happy that you had a 2nd day off. You deserve it:-6
We had a 90 min delay and lots of sleet and yukky stuff:-5
When's your last day in June? Ours is June 16th if we don't get a snow day. We don't take much time off during the year because we want to get out early. Since we're a summer resort area, most of our kids and teachers work in the tourist industry.

June 18 is the scheduled last day of school. If we don't use all of our snow days, we get out early.....maybe. :wah:
