I hate our weather channel!

We are in for another winter storm, so what?

we will be getting roughly 8 inches of snow!

don't go to work they say........have you ever told your boss that?:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

omg...........they make it sound so dramatic and were all going to die!:-5:-5

ffs.....we are used to this, its Canada, hello?:-5:-5

we have thousands of snow ploughs out there 24/7!

learn how to drive in the snow:-5:-5

I feel for the people who see this every 2 minute warning, its scares them to death!:-5:-5

I remember when learning to drive, the first big snow fall my dad would take me to a large parking lot and have me practice doing figure 8’s in the snow, practice breaking and accelerating. I never had any trouble driving in snow.

Some never learned how to drive in the snow or ice properly. I was not raised here, so it is very scarey to drive. No school today, and it is good, it is about one inch of ice on the roads. Salt trucks never get to secondary and tertiary streets, so my daughter is about to take off soon, and it is scarey.

I refused to go out to choir practice last night-as did many others. It seemed a foolish thing to do, we can practice another night when the weather permits. It will be nice for a week after this.

I learnt quite young......you need to here, some think they can drive, but they cannot..... tires spinning everywhere, people driving to work who woke up at the regular time are now out there trying to get there on time and cutting people off, going at high speeds!:-5:-5

You know if a storm is coming, get up early and allow for extra time!:-5

Yes, it is a skill learned when young. It was hard as a 40+ to learn, I still do not like the ice on roads. So many accidents on the news this morning, you know some were not from ice alone, but not being cautious with the conditions.

I hate icey conditions.........won't go out in that if I don't have to.

I hate our weather channel also. It exagerates and frightens people.

Also, almost everytime I watch it before work, when the local weather comes on there is a gigantic rectangular bar in front of the info...I can't see the doppler review.

that is what I mean, it exaggerates so much, over and over and over!

my god, in the summer when we are expecting thunderstorms, my god, they make it seem like were going to die...........if its a really bad summer storm........I will not look at the channel!:-5:-5:-5

Yes, all the local news stations make it sound like the storm of the century and we get rain instead:mad:. They actually called it Tuesday with the latest though and all the kids had off. Don't watch the news in general as it's full of violence, etc., just catch the weather.

I saw an interview with him once on TWC that was kind of a tribute since he has been there so many years and how many storms he's covered. I liked him before that too, but was really impressed after I saw that.

Since April 1st, we have gotten 7+ inches of rain. 1.6 inches just during yesterdays storm. Enough already!
