Obama’s recovery plan cleared the House this evening without a single Republican vote and with 11 Democratic sentors also voting NO. Final passage of the nearly $820 billion package came on a 244-188 vote.

The 645 page stimulus plan was created solely by the Democrats despite President Obama's request for a bipartisan bill.

The bill contains many items which are Democratic pet projects and which will not create jobs. The jobs that can be created from this bill will take 12-18 months. Reports of various pork projects are creating such a stir in the US that they have been removed from the bill after their discovery was publicized, but still much needs yet to be omitted.

President Obams must be sorely disappointed in the Democratic mishandling of this important bill.

For myself, I am feeling sick.

It's not much of a win when they railroaded it through. Failure of the plan will then come back 100% on the Dems with alot of we told you so's by alot of people.

I don't see them selling the old cars to bring some more moola into the Treasury.....

I wish I could run my company into the ground and then get a BIG ol BAIL out. All these states with deficits and such, couldn't they see it years out? Did we hear about this mess 1-2 years ago?

Now when the economy is disrupted even further the repubs have a chance in four years to make it better- but if they break and side with the dems it's all over.

This slobbering love affair with Obama by the mainline media has got to be noticeable as things spiral downward yet even further. But it's going to take a long time for folks to notice that Obama and Pelosi/Fienstein/Reid are the real enemies of american progress.

No. It's going to take 2 years. If President Obama doesn't have a handle on things from what he's done his "stimulus bill", then the next election will most likely find the Dems have lost control of the House, like they did in 2006.

Spending this amount of borrowed money, which if it doesn't do what he projects, is a totally irresponsible debt to burden our grandchildren with. People need to speak out and speak out loudly. The President and his follow Dems need to think and think again before they commit us to this.

I heard on the news this morning that the only thing bipartisan about this bill are the Senators who voted NO.
