Post by Odie »

This will be awesome to have him here, it's his first official trip!

He will be meeting with our Prime Minister Stephen Harper first, in Ottawa, Ontario.

-Ottawa is a mere few hours away from me.

told you we were neighbors!;)

Welcome Obama!

I'm really pleased for you. It is certainly an honour to be the first country to have him visit. :-6

We're not getting Obama here.... he's sending us Hilary Clinton which i'm elated over. I would love to see her. :)

It is very exciting. Are you going to try to be there to see him?

I remember when Bill Clinton came here, it was so exciting. The crowds absolutely flocked to see him. When George Bush visited, no-one bothered.

I really may try to get along to see Hilary if she's doing a public visit and speech.

Yes, i would imagine security will be over the top.

When Bill Clinton and George Bush came here, they did walkabouts and were quite accessable to the public. I have just read that the FBI have been contacted by some nutter claiming the President will die in 48 hours. They tracked the guy down but he's missing. They will be rightly worried about security.

When george bush was here they kept the crowds away in case somebody threw something at him and the american secret servoce overreacted and killed somebody. Wouldn't do to have him find out what the British people really think of him.

GW prefers only his supporters to see him. Everybody else despises him:wah:. I'm wondering if the British were planning on throwing shoes at him?:wah:

Barack Obama is the whole reason why Stephen Harper jumped the gun, broke his government's own rule, and called a snap election back in October.

He knew a mean spirited little dullard like himself couldn't compete with the magnetism and personality of Obama, so he made sure the Canadian election was held before the US election.

I'm glad Obama is coming to Canada. It will only serve to highlight how Harper is such a grey piece of excrement. Too bad for Stephen that his hero has retired to a ranch in Texas.

I am glad you said that and not me. I am also happy to see Obama visit Canada, but for him to meet with Harper is going to be a little bit of a let-down. I cannot stand that Harper.

Hopefully your pm can retire to the ranch with Dumbya in a few years:wah:. Rather I would prefer they both get deported to Cuba.
