Magic Jack

Has any one ordered or heard of Magic Jack. I purchased and installed it last week so my mom could have a land line, when I am out. Didnt want to go with another cell phone contract, and didnt want to pay the usual providers for a land line. It always winds up being a higher bill than you expect.

Magic Jack is a jack you purchase for 40.00. It plugs into a usb port on your computer. Plug the phone jack into the magic jack. Cordless or desk phone.

19.95 per year for unlimited local and long distance calling. There is an international plan for an additional fee that I havent investigated yet.

The connection is crystal clear. Volume is incredible. I am very pleased with this. If your surprised and would like to investigate the site is MagicJack.com

Interesting - I didn't get all the details - a couple talked about this and they have their computer hooked up to Magic Jack, and save $$$$$$ all year...

how cool for you to find this... My MIL got a Cell Phone from us a few yrs ago - she uses as a Door Stop....

I have seen this but it would be impractial as the puter is upstairs and we have 3 floors.

I have seen them advertised on TV. Hey.....if it can save you money and put that USB port to good use..............go for it.
