Ah no, I am one of the non-evil type scientists, I am working on bio-energy and bio-crops and all of that stuff, no killing of baby seals (though I did propose it in my research program, but they said something about it being unethical blah, blah, blah). :rolleyes:

For many years now, the whelk community has been the victem of genocide by them muscles and limpets. It is our duty as British citizens to protect the little fella's and make it a criminal offence for anyone to go chucking them about. I was just reading about it. They've closed the Severn Beach line and I was going to take that up to Clifton this afternoon, I'll have to find a bus from Temple Meads instead.

I suspect this is getting grubby, we seem to be involved in an escalating bout of point-scoring for no particular reason. Either the exchange makes sense or it doesn't but either way it's not particularly dignified to continue down that road.

I ust been out to the Foxs and the badgers and the snow is falling fast and furius here in Bristol Spot. I estimate 3 to four inches now. Did you get home safe?

What a time to have the buliders in? They stripped all the piping today and we have no hot water. They got the new flame effect fire in today... very nice and they left us some convector heaters.

I just opened my window to see and there's around that much on the roof about a foot behind my head. Fortunately there's tiles between me and it. Nobody could call it warm in here though.

05.50 now on 'Mangytout' land and it's still snowing. Not heavilly but still falling.

Another day of builders today. They got the new boiler in yesterday but not wired up yet. New Radiators going in tomorrow. It's been a nightmare especially with them in and out all day to their van.

I'm very surprised the builders turned up today but they left us with no heating except for some convector heaters they lent us last night. Still no heating yet though.

They are going to be one short later as he'a pro-hunt merchant.

It's still snowing here lightly, i think we have about 5 inches according to Mr O.

We are snowed in today down in SE Ireland. Very big fall, must be some of the stuff that fell on Wales the other day. They are saying this week is going to be a frozen one. Temperatures down to about -3 c.

Given the brutal weather our australian friends are having to endure I won't complain.

Spot mentioned that parts of England were due to drop as low as -14 deg C. Lowest previous I can recall is -10 deg C. I do wonder if us getting our lowest temperatures is connected with the Aussie very high ones in some way. Part of the same climatic cycle, perhaps?

Not sure there's much more I can do to reduce my carbon footprint.
