I'm coming over. Just discussing flights and stuff with Pete and pulling all my winter clothing out. It'll only be a whirlwind visit of about threes weeks or so but at least it'll be a bit of a break. adn most likely on the cheap as well................anyone got a spare couch?

So Britain in March :-6:-6 And yes Galbally I missed Ireland last time so be afraid, be very afraid. :driving: I'm gonna drink guiness till the cows come home and disgrace myself entirely. (in a good way of course)

LOL I figured if a gave enough of a heads up people would be able to make plans and evacuate in time .

And this time I'm going into Manny United 's ground and not just passing it. My mum will kill me if I dont' get an in ground shot of it.

The Man U stadium is named 'The Theatre of Dreams'. I got a beautiful print of it for Mr O's best mate for Christmas. It was an inside shot of the stadium under floodlight with full capacity crowd. He loved it. They sell such items in the gift shop if you stop off there. Or I could take you to see a decent team..... Brighton and Hove Albion.

Do you have any suggestions for anywhere that's not crowded? You know country backwards type place? Somewhere where i can walk of ride a bike to my hearts content? that includes scotland and Ireland

I've cycled most of the roads between Stornoway and Horgabost. It's clean air, polite friendly people and fine scenery. You might look at Skye as an alternative but it's busier and the Cullens are dour hills when it's cloudy.

My friend goes to the Isle of Skye twice a year and rents a static caravan which is right on the beach. Its either the only caravan or one of two, cant remember but its very cheap. If your interested I could get the details off her for you to check out Fuzzy.

They do a lot of walking and Kayaking, its totally secluded too.

Hey Chezzie you are a star !!!! I just looked up that caravan thingy and it is cheap ...........making enquiries right now. The site says 180 pound a week between easter and October I'll have to enquire if it's open before easter, and if so if it's a lower tarriff.

Anyone else feel like a holiday in skye?:D

Fuzz, what you're contemplating here is rather like spending three weeks on the foothills of Mount Erebus in a road haulage container with a paraffin heater, a gas mantle light and not even a radio receiver for communication. I've seen lorries on their sides where crosswinds have blown then along the cliff road on Skye.

I remember the cold and mist from my last trip. to be honest I don't know why Scotland embraces me so much but it just does ...ancestral maybe ? We had a BBQ the other night and I mentioned going abroad to get away and you have no idea how many of my brigade wanted to come with me .

It comes to me that I actually drove to Portree once, it's like another lifetime. It has a very solidly built square with a perfect restaurant overlooking the bay.

Megan, If you're looking for a little bit of Heaven go to County Donegal, Ireland. Everything you'd enjoy is there.

My favorite area of Donegal is where my family came from. Go to the northwestern part called Dunlewy and Dungloe.

It's a backpacker's dream. Go to Glenveigh and climb Mt. Errigal...I did:-6Donegal is the "back of beyond' and we're called "Fardowners." You can travel very cheaply by staying in hostels or guest rooms. There's pubs, traditional Irish music, restaurants, castles, warm Irish people, great craic and the Gaeltacht where they only speak Irish.

I really need a holiday trully I do . Seriously I'd love an old stone cottage it would be heaven but this time round because of the immediacy of the trip i'm on a budget and a caravan as cold as it sounds in the middle of no where would be heaven too.

I think I need a panadol.

Here's a pic of Errigal Mountain that I climbed Megan.....2400 ft. I was scared shitless. It took us 3 hrs. to climb it because of me. But, I did it...had to hug the mountain quite a few times trying to get to the top.

On the way down, I slid half way down on me bum:yh_rotfl great craic that was....you'd love it.

If Donegal doesn't suit you County Kerry is gorgeous...ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula are fabulous...great fun in Kerry.
