I think they are tired, Ashely Young and Gareth Barry are the two playmakers, and they looked out of sorts on the day. Also Chelsea played well to be fair to them, passed the ball well, and coped well with Villa's direct, pacey style of play. So Villa were out of sorts, Chelsea were in good form, and it didn't work out for us on the day, there is no shame in that.

I thought Villa were good in the second half though, if they had nicked an equalizer, they would have deserved it. Still, Liverpool only drew again, so its still all to play for, well up to second anyway, Utd have it won already to be honest.

They are the best team in the Premier league at the moment, all the other big clubs are underperforming, and the likes of Villa and Everton are not quite the finished article to be able to pose a proper challenge, still things may change in coming years.

Football always changes over the years. Thats why its fun.

UP THE VILLA! :-6

Thanks Abbey, I am philosophical about it, and hey, I can't complain about the Villa, we Villa fans are realistic, and we are delighted that our team has been imrproving and doing so well this year, the Neutrals seem to like the way the Villa are going about things, and it seems there is a long term plan to build up the team there, so its all good. It will take time though.

I think Utd have been amazing once more this season, you have to hand it to Fergie, whatever you think about his style of widing up the oppostion, the guy is a pure legend, and will enter the hall of fame with the very best when he retires.

Replacing him is going to be Utds biggest problem in the coming years, but hey, just enjoy it for now, well done. Utd have been consistently excellent for a long time now, its a very impressive record. :-6
