In New Orleans and in any big city they celebrate Mardi Gras today. Pub crawlers the lot of them.:wah: The big day before Lent. Tomorrow Catholics all around will get ashes on their farheads in the sign of the cross. Another big thing they do in New Orleans is the King Cake and they bury a small plastic baby jesus in the cake. The cake is very fattening:wah:

No the fat comes from where you stuff your face galore with tons of food the night before Ash Wednesday where stricter Catholics will abstain from eating food on Wednesday and on all Friday's before Easter, are not allowed to eat meat. That means no cheesesteaks:wah:

Ahhhhh, that sounds good Ducky. I haven't made lasagna in ages...must do that soon. :-6

Since I'm home today, I'm making arriabiata sauce, peppers, onions and sausage. AND, homemade bread in my breadmaker. Actually I make dough and then shape the dough after adding spices, and then cook...yummy.
