Be on the look out for this quote "Summer of Hell" in the mainstream media then get back to me when you hear it.
We can have a side bet if you want?
I absolutely guarantee you're wrong and I'd be delighted to take you up on that. What test do you propose by which we can decide the bet as to whether "this is what it will be called in the future".
There's a news source, Nexis, which has many "mainstream media" for reference.
Here are the counts for the word "summer" immediately next to the word "hell" ignoring small link words like "of". Obviously some will be different expressions to "Summer of Hell" but they ought to be a constant background noise above which anything so obvious as a name for Summer 2009 will rise easily, the way "Summer of Love" did for 1967.2009 so far: 10
2008: 76
2007: 193
2006: 111
2005: 85
2004: 77
2003: 97
2002: 86
2001: 59
2000: 56By contrast, "summer" and "love" appear together around 2000 times a year.
Shall we say you win if either 2010 or 2011 have a count above 400? That can be decided on January 1st 2012 just in time for the major test.
While we're at it, what would you want us to use as a test of your dire 2012 predictions? The world ends? At least half the planet's population dies? Aliens irrefutably make contact by mainstream scientific standards? Pigs fly?
