I Hate Call Waiting Answering Machines

If you are talking to me on the phone and ask me to hold on because you have another call-----------------I'll hang up on you!!

If I get another call when I am talking to you, you have my undivided attention and the other caller can just call back if it's important.

I don't always answer the phone if it rings while I am busy doing something else----that's what answering machines are for. Some people just have to answer the phone though.

What's your thoughts on this?

Thats why the answering machine is there. On my phone I can;t figure out the call waiting so I don't anwer it.

I don't have call waiting, we do not need it, but have an answering machine, as we cannot always get to the phone.....and if there is something important, they can leave us a message.

now call waiting, you can before you dial a number, take it off......anyone that phones while your one the phone..goes into your answering machine.

most do not use this feature when phoning someone, and they really should, there is nothing more annoying or inconsiderate than to put someone on hold while you are talking to them...there is no need for this.

I have call waiting. I can see who is trying to call while I'm already on the phone. I usually ignore it until I'm done with the call, but if it's one of my kids, you better believe you'll be put on hold long enough for me to make sure everything is alright. I'd never be rude enough to put someone on hold just to chitchat with another person.

Call answering I don’t mind.

Call waiting I hate. I don’t have it, and like you say, if I was speaking to someone and they suddenly have to rush off, or ask me to hold because another call is coming in, then obviously our conversation is not important enough to them and I will also hang up.
