Orange Marmalade, though other fruits can be used, according to the definition of marmalade. "Marmalade - A clear, jellylike preserve made from the pulp and rind of fruits, especially citrus fruits." Based on that definition, there can be lemon marmalade, grapefruit marmalade, etc. (Sounds yucky!)
Jam consists of the fruit juice, and only fruit juice that is clear, having no fruit particles, once it has been strained through cheese-cloth. Jam has fruit parts in it, though not rind or peel. Grape jam has the inner grape parts, without the peeling. (That slimy, mucous-like part that is so sweet and good.)

So the peel and/or the rind make all the difference between a mere jam and the marmalade.Does Nomad know this?
