I am encouraged. I am very encouraged.
Last evening 60 Minutes played an interview with Ben Bernanke who is the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. This was a first time ever interview with a person that holds this position.
What a world of difference between him and the 'say nothing' US Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner. In my opinion, Ben Bernanke is a man of integrity whom the American people will be able to respect. America very much needs someone like him after the circus-like antics of recent months.

Bernanke speaks on 60 Minutes
I watched it. Two thoughts came to me: 1) The Fed has WAY too much power if they can create money out of thin air and loan it to troubled banks and AIG without approval from anyone. 2) If the Fed can (and will) create enough money to save a bank, why are we wasting tax dollars in the same pursuit??

Bernake came across as believeable as well as likeable, but really, what else could he say?
