It Is Getting Harder and Harder To Support or even Understand This administration !!

Last month this administration gave away millions of our tax dollars to companies that then used those tax dollars to give their top EXECS bonasas . And this month this administration thought no one would think twice about having our veterans pay for service-related injuries

WTF is he thinking to even suggest something like this ???

on Tuesday the administration was thinking about doing the UNTHINKABLE !!

I think it is outrageous to even suggest that war related injuries be the responsibility of private citizens and their insurance carriers.

It is shameful to even consider the possibility of leaving these men and women on their own to cope with injuries, diseases and/or mental problems caused by their service to our country.

This is a new low for the White House administration!

perhaps someone had the thought that they might have access to better health care options ? presumably, if my carrier is paying for me, i'm not limited to veteran facilities or however stuff currently is run..

Aren't military personnel under a military healthcare plan throughout their lives, if they want or need it? And wouldn't physicians specificaly treating military related injuries and health problems be better equiped to handle these medical needs?

Well, thats the kicker.

V.A. facilities are often underfunded, undersupported, and thus fail to attract many top-flight doctors, etc.

Many of the arguments that are used to argue against socialized medicine in the US often apply directly to these facilities... since they are, in effect, socialized medicine.

So I do not think it would be unrealistic to think that veterans and soldiers might be able to get better care by going private under our current system.

However, I don't really like the idea of them having to pick up even an iota of the tab for it, even in terms to deductibles/copays/or insurance rates.

Now here I thought the argument all these years was that our soldiers and veterans were not getting the best care available because they were restrained to military care standards and facilities..

I would think that the number of folks willing to specialize in the treatment of injuries would increase with the potential public rates that would be paid out.

I myself have never served and they only thing I know about the medical services offered by the military come from two people that has first hand experience , one is my mother in law who had all her children in a military hospital because my father in law was a Carree air force officer. and the other was a vet i was caretaker for who had arthritis in most of his joints and had as many replacement joints as he had natural ones. and the only thing bad thing they said about the quality of care was ' the bed side manners of the military doctors were at times non existing : my mother in law had a lot to say about her OB docs and not much was very complementary. as far as their people skills went..

remember this is just me passing on second hand info

Um, when have you EVER supported this administration? You've been totally against it since before Obama was elected!

The first time i said anything about him was just about one hour before we here in my state got the results of the election and then I was questions if it would ever be known just how many people voted 'color of skin' instead of what he stood for. and after he became the president elect i said as an American I would would stand behind him and support him unless he proved other wise.

I have questioned peoples 'worshship 'of him like he was some kind of god. i have questioned his speeches because I subscribe to FactCheck.org and it seems that almost weekly he is making some speech and his facts are wrong . so as far as you saying I have been against him from before the election results i have to say you must have me confused with someone else. I make it a habit not to get involved in debates or discussions about a politician until they are in office and showing whatever it is they show.

I didn't get offended ,i'm a bit thicker skinned then that. I was just explaining why you were mistaken when you stated what you did. Politics is one subject i know what i say cuz I stick real hard to the habit of not having an opinion till the guy gets into the office and goes to either doing what he promised( i'm still waiting for that to happen) or starts acting just like a politician . before he takes office it's just his word against his word that he is talking straight . or actions speak louder than words...
