Looking for party ideas

hello all! I'm hoping you can collectively throw some wonderful and original ideas at me. I am planning and end of season team party for a very young hockey team.

I have the venue, but I'm drawing a blank. I also need to think of a gift for the 2 coaches.

Does this seem last minute> Oh yes, I'm very aware and stressing out about it. I have been so swamped at work that I have not been able to give this my attention.

I'm desperate. I have 3 volunteers (thank you!), so delegating will be easy.

Help!!

What ages are we talking about? How many people? Gifts eh, what ages are the coaches and are they male or femaile?? What is the venue you have??

You all came up with some great suggestions, I appreciate that.

The party has been moved *whew* no time crunch. Boog breathes easier....

It's hockey and the girls are all 7 -8 years old. The season is almost over and this is the last large task I have,

What about a pinata ? With a fun twist.

Blindfold everyone, they all get a bat....better yet hockey stick. They all go for the pinata at the same time BUT ! And this is beautiful. There is no pinata :-6
