A little bit of ahhhhhh

Well Rosie,

It's been 9 months since we found you in a dirty cage in some-one's house.

You'd had 3 homes in two weeks and your current owner said we could have you because you were a pain in the arsse.

Mulder had never let another dog into our home before and on your arrival, gave you some severe drubbings over food bowl rights and toys.

You still only stand 7 inches tall but who would have thought that something so tiny could bring us so much trouble, noise and love.

You now completely dominate Mulder and Scully, bossing them round all day and stealing their food and toys. You still do not understand that Oscar the Persian is a cat and does not want to play 'tuggy games'

Dog rescue........ so worth it. :-4:-4

She's a handsome one. Brings back memories of dogs of our own. It's only a matter of time before we find ourselves at the rescue center

I posted this because it hit home today when our elderly neighbour who's had Jack russells all his life, said 'You know, you really got lucky with that one'. We did, she's an absolute sweetie. So loving and affectionate but can hear a seagull fart a mile away :wah:

Wouldn't do it any other way. Our first dog was a collie cross. The most intelligent, most loyal, friendly companion we could ever wish for. He lived for 20 years. I could comunicate with him by looks and gestures.

Sad story..... I feel they all have their own spirits and no two are alike. Mulder is completely manic, a whirling dervish who drives Mr O to destraction. He's extremely difficult, territorial and jealous. Scully, is laid back, chilled and cool about anything :wah: It's almost as if she looks at the manic behaviour of the other two, tuts and walks away disgusted.

They are in the garden in the pitch dark as we speak, nose to nose at the fence with the foxes who have turned up for their food. Remarkable.

So many dogs are ending up in shelters with the credit crunch. So sad.

When they are good they are very adorable and then in the mad moments you just ask yourself why did I do it why did I say yes to another one?

This is Remy he ran off yesterday and got onto the road I was almost hysterical and now have a few more grey hairs! but I do love him!!!

Rosie would love Scrappy Doo :-4 My three chase other peeps cats, not their own, don't ask me why, it's one of life's mystery's. As terriers we also have to be carefull about them bolting down Badger sets etc but the foxes who visit our garden each night show no fear of the dogs and don't run, there-fore it is no fun for Mulder, Scully and Rosie :wah:

I let my daughter get a puppy in December. Every day, I ask myself how I could let her talk me into it. Then the puppy looks at me with her big, brown eyes and I know how.

I had 13 dogs at one point purely cause where animals are concerned im such a soft touch......down to 6 now....2 are very old and have nearly died recently.I lost 3 last year and the heartache dosent get any easier.I never went away even for a break for over 30 years because of my pets over the years but even with the heartache and no holidays I wouldn't change those years as love from a Dog....that unconditional Love is something Special:-4....some of my "babies"....

I too have had no holidays most of my adult life and the one's i have had have meant leaving Mr O at home with the dogs and cats. We are going to Scotland in July. We have rented a cottage that takes pets and even the cats will be coming with us. Mulder and Scully are in their twilight years now and i'm dreading the day when we have to say goodbye.

Well at one point I had the 13 Dogs......8 cats......chickens.....rabbits....geese and ducks.....Ive just got the geese and the 6 dogs now.Renting a cottage is a great idea if you can take yer pets.

One dog I had was my Toby...a small Yorky......that little dog was so special to me.He really was a one off.I remember when I run Antique Fairs some years ago he used to walk around with me and at times because I was dealing with the stall holders I couldnt make to much fuss of him and he started limping.The stall holders would say....ohhhhh poor baby whats wrong with him.....I just smiled and said....watch this.I would pick him up and say....Toby Mummy loves you but im very busy and give him a kiss......I would put him back on the floor and he would run around wagging his tail:wah: goodness what an actor he was.His end was so sad....I had been doing Newark....the Big Antique Fair and Toby started making funny noises.When I got back I rushed him to a Vet and they said he had a collapsed wind pipe and was common with Yorkys.He told me to leave him....when I rung to see how he was basically I was told there was no chance.Being human and selfish as I wanted my Toby not to be put down I said I was coming to collect him......I cried all the way as my head was telling me what to do and my heart was saying otherwise.Of course I knew what I had to do and walked in the vets asking for a last cuddle.He was put in my arms and he looked at me and closed his eyes and went.The little sweetheart had hung onto see me and had taken away the burden of me having to put him to sleep.Even now after all these years that memory brings tears to my eyes.....oh fgs Carol get yourself together woman!!

I have to say that over the years yes I have had many chickens and ducks killed by Foxes....been heartbreaking at times but do I still like Foxes....yes and do I believe in Fox Hunting....no I bloody dont and its happening still all the time...so much for banning it.....bloody joke.

I'm shocked to hear of these horses dying in races and had no idea people there breeded fox, just for the hunt of it!

You wouldn't be aloud to do that here.

You wouldn't be aloud to do that here.What about the pheasants also....beautiful birds...I have a few that come in my garden....they also breed them so they can charge people to come and shoot them....those in high places love it fgs.

You wouldn't be aloud to do that here.

they do it here in the US. Kentucky Derby horses are interbreeded, etc. just so they can run in the race... it's disguss=ting. They make a big show of it. I didn't know either until my mum told me about it.....think I will go out to the deck when that comes on. I will not be betting any Ben & Jerry's ice cream this year after finding that out:mad:. Same with KFC
