I use the treadmill at the gym, and the bike too. Usually 10 mi on the bike, 2 on the treadmill. 3 classes in tae kwon do a week.
But I walk fast on the treadmill, I do not like to run.

I used to own a treadmill when I was younger
.....now I have the glider, now it takes more time to loose weight, but its a great exercise for all parts of your body.
and.....there is no impact on your body whatsoever.

I love those exercise DVDs for rainy days. I got the tahitian cardio and hula one. I was looking at the line dancing one, I miss going out and doing that stuff!

I could never run on mine.

I just joined a gym with my friend and we have a great laugh. You don't have to jump straight in, you build up bit by bit. Most gym's do a free trial so give it a go and see what you think.

I play water volleyball Monday, Wednesday & Friday for two hours. I play Pickleball on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturday for two hours. I play nine holes of golf on Friday afternoon and 18 holes on Sunday. In between these activities I play table tennis and 8 ball. It's easy to stay fit when you are retired.

Dogs.
Anyone who has them will know walking the dogs a great way to keep fit enjoy the scenery and meet people.
I walk my 3 at least 3 times a day for about 40 mins per time plus we go to the common twice a week and walk for ages.
Much nicer than boring stuffy gym's and treadmills:)

Time is a problem - at least an hour a day of walking would be great! An hour should be enough to cover 4 to 5 miles, and deserves a pint or so of beer afterwards.
Exercise machines, gym, running? Damaging to the joints or the wallet. Pah.

I walk on the track at school. I go to the gym because it is cheap for me, I get a teacher's discount.
