For the most part I have found that men are soooooo much easier to work with then women, it's seems that women gossip and backstab where men dont. I am not a gossiper or backstabber so I never fit in with the B-----es!

Men just flirt and joke, why is it that men never suffer this?:-5

your right on again, they are so nice to work for/with, they respect you and care about you........as you said women are very well know for backstabbing, harassing, bullying and gossiping.

but men also gossip big time at their works, but it usually with their male freinds.
Life is just to short for drama.

yep, that's always been my experience too. I've always had more male friends than female friends. Even my first best friend at the age of 4 was a boy. :p :D

Oh it depends where you are. The men here behave similar to what you have explained above so I think it just depends on the organization (or lack of ahahaha) you work for.

this one woman I worked for in an insurance agency was just nasty! She embarressed me in front of loads of workers, made me cry and in that moment I told her to go eff herself, packed up my things and left.:wah: Funny now that I think about it.

I'm sure we can all think of male bosses who've been right swine. Didn't Princess Ladedah post on this yesterday?

But when I was a teacher it was regarded as generally true that if boys had a row there might be a punch up but it would be over quickly, and likely that the boys would be friends (again) in a few days. If girls had a row, well, they might make up before they left school years later, but you'd be unwise to bet on it.

I wonder if men, being generally more able and willing to resort to violence, are hardwired in some way to end rows more effectively, because if they don't someone dies? Ok, these days it's not so likely that someone will die, but looking at the whole length of human history that's a very recent development. In contrast women, who are generally less likely to resort to violence, have less incentive to end a row?

This is just speculation. I don't know if it's true or not.

Never, ever, never, work for women...in constant competition with each other, for primeval reasons their conscious mind does not understand :sneaky: always swearing they will never pass on a secret, then waiting five whole minutes until they do :lips: desperate for adoration and acknowledgement from the nearest male, (the majority of females DEFINE themselves via a member of the male species) :p telling another woman they look great in an outfit which they obviously should bin....(it takes the competition levels down a peg)

In fact, steer clear ladies, be individual, go work in an all male or mostly male environment and use your 'skills' for advancement, (you don't actually have to go there) :yh_mean....if you can stand the heat, and men do give you some heat, stay strong, answer back, don't buckle or become a tart, you will be respected as one of the boys and, there is no better place to be!

Then you can look back at the old biddys tearing each other to pieces and say, 'there but for............................

I agree Clod.

I've taught every grade from 1st to 8th, mostly 3rd and 6th graders (their ages are 8 to 13).

When the boys argue they'll push, shove and punch and then be friends in no time. Our girls will hold grudges, gossip and hate each other:-5

Dear Nomad - a truth that makes you laugh, as usual!

(and I really need a laugh at the moment)

All the sexes have their down sides. None of us have a monopoly on virtue or vice.

Kathy Ellen: I will always remember my Maths teacher, Lesley Sellick, who got me my O level (just!) and taught me fencing, with the greatest affection and respect. I'm sure your kids feel the same way about you.
