BBC NEWS | England | Fans remember Hillsborough dead
I remember this event as one of those terrible events that happen, and leave a lasting impression of shock and disbelief that it actually happened. It was one of those things where you hear about it very quickly, even if you are not home to see a special news bulletin or hear it on the radio, someone will stop you and ask, have you heard? did you see? the type of thing you sit and watch on the news with an open mouth and teary eyes.
In memory of all those who tragically died on that day, and all their families still suffering:-4:-4

We just lost our beloved Harry Kalas from the Philadelphia Phillies. He was an announcer with a booming voice.:-1 He died doing what he loved which was he was getting ready to do a game for the team and he just fell over & they rushed him to the ER but he was already gone.:-1

I remember this.
I remember feeling so helpless as we watched the TV footage knowing that people were dying as we watched from the saftey of our home.
I also remember seeing the fire at Valley parade (sp) I was at my mums and the tv was on we watched in horror as a tiny flicker of flame devoured the stand and so many people with it..
Two terrible days for football.
