'Sewer rats' blamed for spate of crossbow attacks on geese | Mail Online
This is not the first time these attacks have happened or been reported. What i fail to understand, is where on earth does a kid get a crossbow from?
Either they are being sold to kids in shops or parents are allowing them access to them.
Who actually needs one and for what other than sport?

How horrible! I'm not a big goose fan but still to hurt them like that is just cruel.
I'd like to take that crossbow and do a sewer rat in:mad:

Kids can be so damn cruel at times they really can.

I believe every kid should have a pet as young as possible even a hamster that they have to care for. I was lucky that at my school we had a school farm. We had a class called 'Rural science' and i loved it. It was getting down and dirty cleaning the animals out but it taught us a sense of respect for the animals. :-6

Me too...... I couldn't read the link on Jimbo's thread about the dog just by the title.
Before my sister died, she had geese and god they were vicious buggers :wah: You took your life in your hands going up her path. I am very lucky in that I'm having a bird avairy and pond built in the next few weeks (small one's). It is a sad fact of British way of life that we not only had to take into account how to stop rats and cats getting into the avairy but also to make the yard secure from the local yobs. Sad but true. :-5:-5

MY kids school has a traveling farm show come in the spring. The kids can go out and pet the lambs, ducks, baby geese, etc. It's pretty neat. My children don't bother other peeps animals and Quin has loads of stuffed ones. Still sleeps with them and he'll be 8yrs in June.:-4

Well, I unfortunately had to see it. You two did yourselves a huge favor by not being able to see it as it would break your hearts. It was disgusting!

Yes me too. I can't bear to look or read. Infact when the tv is on and suddenly you get a horrid image come up, I've injured myself before in a full launch at the remote to switch channels quick. There was one very recently about horses and i could not find the remote :-5 but i'm glad i didn't switch over as the horses were all saved and happy in new homes and the b*tch went to prison for her crimes against them
I do feel that that the tabloids should report these stories to make people aware of exactly what goes on.

When my sisters children were small, they were obssessed with farm animals. She worked long hours so my mum had the kids a great deal which meant i had my share of collecting them from school etc. I used to take them to farms and point out farm animals to them on our travels.
One day i was on a train and as the train went through the countryside, I shouted out 'OH WOW BABY BAA LAMBS'. Then i realised that i had no children with me, and i was alone on the Gatwick to Brighton Commuter train that was packed
:(:(:(
Several people moved carraige away from me

I don't kill anything. I got my broom out one night and a spider ran out of the bristles. I picked him up in my hand and went to throw him out the door but it was torrential rain. I was worried he'd drown so i put him in the airing cupboard. I think he's still there :wah:

The foxes don't take a blind bit of notice as they take no notice of our dogs.
