Background Checks

I've come across different sites where, for a fee, you can do a background check on a person. Has anyone ever actually tried one out? Was it true or a rip off?

does the site have the BBB logo on it?

I have used a site for legal papers, had to pay for them and everything went great......

Sorry, I don't know - but what, if any, "privacy" laws and safeguards do you have in your country?

All of my kidlets are in Catholic school and at the same time they want us "the parent's" to get background checks...seems weird to me...as they are the ones who had the problem priests, etc,. Rather annoying.:-5

I've done background checks on folks... wanna' try it out on someone here, though? How about trying it out on Farmer Giles? I bet he's got summat' hiding in his closet, I'm sure of it! :p
