The flu formerly known as New Swine Flu...

...is now being referred to as H1N1. The plusses for this particular name? There's no connotation towards pigs, it's shorter and less ink will be used in newspaper headlines throughout the world which should make the conservationists happy, and it will look cooler on t-shirts and bumper stickers. Perhaps we should just come up with a symbol for it to further simplify things?

In this country we have niether swine flu or H1N1 we have Mexican flu.
