Credit Cards
As the economy has been on everyones mind these last months, let's talk about individual money management.
How many credit cards do you have?
Of these, how many do you use?
Do you pay off your monthly balance, or do you live today on tomorrows dollar?
Do you think the average person has used their financial assets better, the same or not as well as corporate America?

I have access to a credit card but I choose not to use it. My debit card meets all my needs. As a consequence the only debt we have is a small mortgage on the house.
We do tend to live in a "want it now " society. Teenagers have access to credit. They drive new cars. When I was a teenager, we made do with buying a cheap second hand "banger", tidied it up and upgraded it when we could afford. That wouldnt do for todays youth. The must have it new and now

No credit cards here either. The debit card meets all our needs also. Just pay bills etc. & the mortgage which isn't much now to pay off. As for teens & cars...bought our daughter a $1,500 Ford Escort a year ago which she wrecked...so too bad for now. When we finally get the Honda on the insurance she will have had to pay off all the fines that came with wrecking her first car.

I have one Visa Frequent Fl yer credit card with a high limit. It's used to pay for EVERYTHING and the monthly balance is paid off in full. I think the average persons use of credit is terrible.

I have one credit card which I only use very occasionally but the balance is always paid off each month. Normally I use my debit card, much safer that way I think.

I have one credit card and one debit card. I try to keep my balance paid off. I don't want to rack up debt.
