You know, I may actually get a present this year. Usually, after a Summer of no checks, I'm dead broke until the first paycheck of the school year. (Which usually falls after my birthday)

But this year my birthday falls on a Friday and since Monday is Memorial Day, and it would have been payday, I get my paycheck on my birthday! Yay!

My best present of all is that Vicki is feeling better and stronger every day since her surgery and should finally be well ! (After ten years of deathly sickness.)

Things are lookin' up!

And that's flash enough for me...thanks so much for all the sentiment and thoughts everybody. It's really true that this place is full of wonderful, warm, special people.

I had mint ice cream cake with my colleagues here at the school, I got a big foil balloon from my sweetie, the kids were all extra nice to me and tonight, I'm putting on my best suit and going dancing at club 40's (a dress-up dinner club that plays 1940's swing music and waltzes!), then it's back home to rest before I take off for the mountains north of Durango to go camping for the weekend!:D
