I have been watching the documentry series about foster children and adoption on Channel four. It has been very interesting. It makes me feel happy and sad for some of the cases. One guys brother had died when he was 18 by commiting suicide and they had been close i felt sorry for him i can't begin to imagine how hard that must be for him when he had this person to look up to before.

Everything I watched has ended! :-1

Dead like me, Medium, Ghost whisperer, (hey, I'm seeing a pattern here! :wah: ) & Criminal Minds - all have finished and are just showing repeats. I was watching 24 but have given up on it. It's getting a bit dull. :(

We watched the last 2 episodes of Heroes this week, so now thats finished too. :-5

I'm seriously considering getting rid of Sky. No-one watches TV in our house, apart from me and that's only been for a few hours in the last couple of months. Lately all we've watched is Britain's Got Talent and Heroes, and now Heroes has finished.

Dilemma: Should I dump Sky and save some money or should I keep Sky because whenever there IS occasionally something good on, it's gonna be on Sky and not the terrestrial channels? :-2

I share your dilemma as i have been thinking the same. We rarely get time to watch SKY and what tv i do watch is mostly late at night on Channel Dave. I don't think i'd miss it if it went. I do love the documentaries and history channel but again it's getting the time.

I may be having a young lodger very shortly so maybe he will like the SKY Channels. Do they have violent stuff on them do you know? I've never looked myself and just want to be sure they don't.

If he's young, as in a child, you should get the kids channels and the disney channels. My nephew is glued to them when he visits. If he's a teen, get the sports channels. You can get violent films before the 9pm watershed but you have to put in your pin number. Just change the pin and don't tell him what it is! :wah:

We combined ours and have Sky, Sky broadband and Sky Talk. One reason for wanting to change is because we all use the internet a lot and Sky broadband is absolute rubbish! Virgin Media were much better! But sadly Virgin Media's cable doesn't have all the Sky channels. What to do...what to do.... :-2

BTW thankyou for your rather delicious Frenchman! :-4 I feel MUCH better today! :wah:

Saw a documentry on BBC2 last night 'fighting passions' about ex-soldiers who reckon they got a kick out of killing people. I think it was in poor taste and is typical of the BBC they love to shock.

I have seen Ice road truckers a couple of times it is a great show. It fills me with awe it is amazing to think the hundred of miles of ocean can turn into ice and they can just drive over it! It never gets that cold here in the UK but we have plenty of hit and miss weather now thanks to global warming.

I love Sandra Lee & her ideas...she's very creative. Rachel is becoming a bit boring...but Guy is funny. Top Chef...hubs lubs that show...it drives me nuts:wah:..can't stand either of the two hosts. After the dinner I made last night, they wouldn't be b&m...it really was that good. Got a thumbs up from everyone.

The one thing i hate about TV is the Adverts. I usually mute them when they come on it's a good idea not to have to listen to them. The go on too long and they are of little relevance to my life. When you watch films now they cut into adverts without any warning. It wasn't like this in the 1980s.

I like series that continue on week after week...........

24

Prison Break (Just now ended)

Damages

Saving Grace

I'm enjoying reruns of two shows I didn't watch regularly before............

Dark Angel

Bones

I enjoy:

The Mentalist

House

NCIS

Without a Trace

I'll watch "What Not To Wear" on occassion and sometimes reruns of JAG and West Wing

I love Sunrise Earth International and enjoy numerous animal and travel shows now.

With regular shows off for the Summer and few new shows that even interest me enough to watch once, I'll be reading more.
