WOOOOHOOOOO Wonderful guess Snowfire. The name of the mountain is different...this mountain is the highest peak in the Derryveigh mountains, and it's called Errigal Mountain.

Yes, it is in the poison glen, and I've walked through this area many times. My Dad was born in this area.

AND, I climbed this mountain. It was the scaries thing I've ever, ever done.

:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl ~AND~......that's what I love about Fg...We can go off target at times....that's a nice a bit of freedom for me...We don't need to be moderated with every thread that we post on. Other forums are so anal and delete or close all of your threads.

YES, INDEEDY Sunshine...it is Magnolia Gardens. I visit everytime I drive through South Carolina. It is a beautiful plantation. I love to walk along the James River.

I saved many from peril with my far reaching light.

My tower is seen from ever so far,

but I can only be reached by a boat not a car.

My home's on a island,

and there is the clue.

Nope, you can actually walk to that one. This one would take quite a bit of swimming to get to.

Has sand dunes and has a sleeping bear legend.

My cousin Sharon lives in Kalamazoo, and I really need to visit her one day. When I do visit I will look for this lighthouse. What a beautiful area.

If this is correct, I'd like to post another garden. Gman wanted us to use images from Googlemap and 3 clues. I've asked him if we can just find gardens from google since it's easier to do:wah:

Yup, you got it right. I stayed on that island, in the middle of Lake Michigan, for 9 days and it was just wonderful. No cars or street noises or loud parties. It was the most peaceful place I have ever stayed. Took the Ferry out of Leland which stopped at the island twice a day. If you miss the ferry you are out of luck. Did see a lot of sail boats too. Has a wonderful natural harbor.
