Actually it's not my main identity.
It was a joke alias I created to pretend to be a hooker... while playing with my friends... and well... months after the joke was over. I started using the account again. It stuck.

When my brother first introduced me to BBSs (forums from before the internet), when I was 16, I had to pick a nickname to sign up. He suggested Dizz and I liked it. It's pretty much stuck and not too many other people on the web use it.

Where Did You Get Your Name?
Telaquapacky is the name of a river gorge in Tenessee that was the site of one of the strangest occurrences in the United States Civil war. One night a company of Union infantry passed through the gorge going south, and a company of Confederate troops passed northward, and in the darkness and the sound of the river, they passed without incident, without hearing or seeing one another. I made that up.
Telaquapacky is really one of 13 names of a secret club I belonged to when I was in Junior High School. We had silly, secret greetings and odd in-jokes. We made a public appearance in force one afternoon, in Westwood Village (Los Angeles, near U.C.L.A.), which at the time had been the scene of many free speech and anti Vietnam war protests. We carried a large banner, and signs and placards that were... completely blank. It was an amazing character study. Some motorists shouted angrily at us and shook their fists, others encouraged us and shouted friendly words of solidarity with our cause.
It's pronounced "ta-LACK-a-packy";)

I'm a long haul trucker, thus the Far Rider handle. But Rob, my cousin, couldn't find a good name to embody his current career, gay stripper, so he begged me for mine. I told him I'm holding him accountable and, well, the rest is histoire.

This boy I worked with and I wrote a series of stories about two people who could change personas by putting a finger on their heads, spinning and shouting out what they were and then their names. So we could be Aqua Stepho/Jermo or Plumbing Stepho/Jermo or KungFu Stepho/Jermo. Our generic names to cover the whole package were Action Figure Stepho/Jermo. I'm aware that this is stupid, but we were 15/16 and that's what you do when you're stuck in a stupid job with lots of down time.

Mine is a contraction of my middle name. I think I'm going to change it because it is too common.

theia came from Robert Graves' The Great Myths. Quite happy with it until last week when a friend, who loves playing with words and letters, told me it was an anagram of "I hate." Gee, thanks :-5

I live in a lean to that packs up. I just throw it over my camel and move on when it suits me. Sometimes I only move a few feet but how far are you supposed to move to be classified as nomadic ?
I dont think theres a definitive answer. My camel and I have covered a fair amount of ground over the yrs. Why just two days ago we were right over there...today we are here, its interesting to see new places.

Where Did You Get Your Name?
The first ever website I joined was for a book called Merlin Mystery, which involved a puzzle that had to be solved to win a great prize! The sheer brainpower of the people involved was amazing (and far beyond me!) but I used to love the camaraderie and reading the theories. Most people there had medieval or mystic names, so the other half suggested 'Rapunzel' for me.
I've used it at various places but then got bored with it, so my name on other sites I use is 'Bookworm'. I thought, when I joined here, I'd take the dust covers off and give my old name an airing again, but it feels kinda strange now. I don't feel like a Rapunzel any more - I feel like a bookworm...

I was gonna use 'Accountable'... but it sounded so donkey like....:sneaky:
Far and I are actually spirit-twins who were separated at enlistment.
I found Forum Garden because I was PO'd about something political, probably Iraq. I call myself Accountable because I think it's vital that we hold ourselves and each other accountable for our actions. My handle is a constant reminder of my stance, which is why I really regret choosing it. :-5
I keed! I keed! It was actually one of my better ideas.
