They fired her and laughed

They fired a 24 year old women at my job today, she has a baby and a husband, apparently she sat frozen with the news,as tears ran down her cheeks,and they laughed after about how there was no sound, these to me are the lowest things on earth. Yes she needed to be fired, unfortunately she was the bread winner in the home, to laugh at someones pain to me, is

Yes indeed, they were monsters!!! Sometimes when I had the unpleasant duty of having to downsize my dept, in a few sad occasions I actually had a tear in my eye along with the downsized person(s)!

but your a kind and caring man, not like some of these jerks who get their kicks out if and watch everyone laugh at her.

What sort of scumbags laugh at the pain of someone losing their job;especially someone with a baby to support?

Why did she need to be fired?

Then they wonder why people lose the plot and go back with a shotgun?

Im not saying that blasting them to kingdom come is in any way right but sometimes a story like this gives the rest of us a glimpse of why these things happen.

being sacked is bad enough being laughed at and humiliated is just bloody unneccesary

What kind of place do you work?

I work in Personnel, and although there are certain employees who almost beg to be fired because of their poor job performance and attitude, letting that person go would be a relief......not a comedy. Very unprofessional of your co-workers. IMO

She may have been the biggest f***up and deserved to be fired. There is a right way and a wrong way to fire someone they were wrong. If they fired her in front of other staff legally they could have a grievance filed.
