What made you cry last?

Post by Oscar Namechange »

I'm not usually given to tears but last night saw me spontaniously cry twice.

First the re-run of the film Ghost and later i went out to feed my foxes to be presented for the first time with two new tiny fox cubs by their mum. They had no fear and followed their dad right to my feet. :-4:-4

I cry when I watch that film too. Every time as I have seen it more times than I have fingers.

Awwwwwww, two babies. :-4 Is it possible for you to touch any of your foxes or is that considered an invasion of space for them?

Awwwwwww, two babies. :-4 Is it possible for you to touch any of your foxes or is that considered an invasion of space for them? Mr O watched Ghost with me for the first time last night and i've been rumbled. He now knows why i say 'Ditto' :wah:

I have a large pack of foxes come very night and there is around 15 of them. The pack leader is there every night with his Mrs but the others come and go. I havent seen Mrs for a while and the pack leader was running off with food lately rather than eat it in front of me so i guessed there were babies. Foxes by nature are extremely timid so i am honoured that she trusted me to bring them out. I guess they are only approx 8 weeks old. :-4

The pack leader over the years has become very tame and i'm in no doubt that i could pet him if i wanted to. It's something i have never done as i respect that they are wild animals and need to keep their instincts. My dogs can even be going hell for leather at them and they will just sit there taking no notice, I always put their food on the ground and have never hand fed unless they are injured badly and need help. When i'm out there, many of them will come very close and scratch, yawn, play and even curl up outside the door waiting which tells me they trust me. :-6:-6

About 10 minutes ago actually when I realised yet again I had been wrong about someone who I thought was a friend....will I ever learn fgs.

I also need to add at this point that this was a friend in the RW who let me down me down badly.

Thinking about it....... i suppose i did shed some tears when my nephew told me the truth in prison of what he did that night. I knew then that i had to turn my back on him. I have strong beliefs and standards and i'd be a hypocrite to change those to suit now.

Are you looking forward to the election results tomorrow? :sneaky:

It will be very interesting ! I was offered to attend the count in our constituency, but having been to one before, many years ago, I declined (couldn't survive hours without me fags !:yh_rotfl). Also once you're in the hall, you're there for the duration, unless you need to leave for any reason - then you ain't let back in !! I can of course understand the reasons for that :sneaky:

No, i can't go that long without me fags either :wah: I'm not going to the count this time but i shall listen with glee to the results on the radio or TV. :sneaky:

I know the feeling...... a couple of weeks ago i was trying to prove to the Turkish guys in the take-away that at my age, i could still get a leg over my shoulder. I brought my leg up and bashed my knee under the metal sink counter. They fell about laughing and i was in serious pain. Two days later, i had a lovely bruise for my troubles :wah:

Yesterday I went to visit a friend whom I hadn't seen since before an accident 3 weeks ago, that killed the husband of her granddaughter and 2 little great-grandsons. They were going fishing, early on a Saturday morning when a truck hit them. It left behind my friend's granddaughter, ( his wife) and a small daughter and an entire extended family torn apart.

That's really sad. I always worry about one of my sons, who is on the road a lot for a painting contractor. He already demolished one of their trucks in an accident that was not his fault. Another time, going home for the weekend, he came over the top of a hill at night and center punched a big black cow standing in the middle of a two lane blacktop. Truck-badly damaged. Son- bruised. Cow- dead.
