By the way Ducks....... thank you so much for the Dolphin Stampede video you sent me by private e mail. I absolutely loved it and it's been passed on to all the family and friends who think it's amazing also. :-6:-6:-6

I'm afraid that i will have to come back and contribute with some gossip in a few hours. After having the baby and children for a week, i'm exhausted. Mr O is preparing some Mexican food and i've took a couple of sedetives to get some sleep for a couple of hours to catch up :wah:

Oscar shall return with gossip. I just met my old neighbour in the lane and he's complaining about a new kid on the block. A tiny kitten who has been called Oscar that lives next door is digging up his flower beds and staring at him in a peculiar manner :wah:

Do you think that posh bird will come on my new thread? :wah:

Oh I should send you the latest email I received...it's quite beautiful..you'll need to do alot of clicking but its really neat. It's from a member of FG who's been off lately but she always sends me some really cool stuff...that's where the dolphins came from.

Mexican? I put that on my grocery list...kidlets love soft tacos and I like them with the works...

As for gossip...do tell about that tiny kitten. Now, go have an Oscarnap & I'll see you later.

11 foxes in the lane tonight but not the babie's. I guess she brought them out to say hello two nights ago and has now taken them back to earth. 3 domestic cats also waiting with them for food. :wah:

OK...... here's the brief history of my foxes :wah:

When i moved here, my village was the out most village in Bristol. 10 years ago they started building on green belt and haven't stopped. 4,000 houses went up in the last year and 12,000 more are proposed by 2012. The foxes were forced down into the village and some took to earth in the large grounds of the school next to my house about 9 years ago. The alpha male has been coming to me for 7 years now. He's a handsome brute and in the rutting season, many a sexy vixen joins the pack looking for some loving.

It started with the alpha male and a few others rummaging in my garden and bins and as i get a huge amount of left over meat from my friends take-away, i started to leave it in the entrance to the field outside my house. Continued building forced more and more of them down over the years and i now have approx 15 in the pack. I feed them as many cross the main road to get to the land fill site and get killed on the roads. Some have been shot with air rifles. Not all 15 come every night, some wander around and may visit every other night or so but the pack leader my husband named 'Clarkson' is there every night. The lane is only the width of a car and is for residents only. They know i go out every night at midnight so very often, some are curled up in the lane outside the gate waiting for me. I go out and whistle and the others will appear very quickly from the school grounds and run into the lane to greet me. I walk with them into the field and put their food down on the ground. We do get the odd resident coming home late at night and i don't want them getting hit by a car. It is also pitch black out there so any passing yob can't see them and hurt them. Some actually prefer to come into the garden and eat there and often i find they have dug my garden up for earth worms which is their natural diet. Three nights ago, 'Clarkson's' vixen brought out two tiny cubs, approx 8 weeks old and i cried. They had no fear and followed their dad right to my feet but she must have taken them back to earth now. I did get some worms out of my compost bin for them and they were gone this morning.

I think it is lovely that Oscar does this. It must be awsome to see the foxes waiting for you and accepting you.

I bet Oscar would care for them all too. She is one wonderful lady who really has her head on straight and knows what is important in this world. If more were like her, well I can't say the world would be more peaceful, but it would be a better place.

It's strange that i can actually tell all approx 15 foxes that visit apart going by colour, tails, size, eyes and who sits where. My old neighbour came home late one night into the lane and had to phone me to move 3 sleeping foxes that were curled up outside his garage door as he couldn't put his car away.

They are just such timid little souls and i adore them :-4:-4

I just got a new Canon sure shot camera...with a 500 pix mem card:-4...no, no, no to Laura...will never give a camera again:-5...she broke mine last summer...she's very bad with anything that starts with the letter C.

Very quiet in the lane tonight. 3 cats were having a chin wag while i fed the foxes just now. My neighbour has a new waterfall in his garden and the tinkle makes we want to wee every time i go out there :wah:

:yh_rotfl that happens to me when I turn the shower on....the urge.:wah: As for cats...neibs cat was going walloring all night long a few weeks ago..in heat...every tom showed up. Cats I've never seen before..they are gone now. I watched the preggars cat trying to get in the house today...sitting on the mailbox by the door...it opened the door & got in. Very smart cat.:wah:

This lane is full of cats. My garden has a high wire fence so my persians can't get out to mix with those commoners :wah:
