How important are boobs?

Post by buttercup »

For men and women to comment on.

I'm torn on this one as in one way i'm happy mine are a regular size as i have this fear (likely wrong) that they get all sweaty underneath when they are big or they really hurt your back or are sore when your running ect.

On the other side i think clothes fit better when your bigger and cleavage is very attractive (in younger women) dont think the wrinklies should be on display.:wah:

I have quite...........ahem..............large boobs. (38DD)

I HATE them!

Bras cost more

They are the first thing men look at

I cannot sleep on my front

They have a life of their own when you run ( I sometimes expect black eyes)

Tops do not fit properly as the rest of my body is smaller (I am 5 ft 6) so I look like I am wearing a tent.

I thought about a boob reduction but it was soooo expensive I will have to keep them until they droop below my waist then I can tuck them into my knickers!

It is really funny how we think.

I used to hate my bigger boobs because yes they did get sweaty & your back does hurt & when you tried to run :lips:

Then I got breast cancer & how I wished I had them back again,I could put up with the sweat etc.:wah:

After a while I was feeling very lopsided ,found more lumps in the remaining breast & decided it was time to remove some of the doubt about cancer returning so I had another op.

Reconstruction was next & I went smaller, best thing I have ever done.

Because the booberoonies were smaller it made me want to loose some weight,so there was a plus to being minus.

There are pro's & con's with big or small, but it is great to be """normal"""? again.

As normal as I will ever be,that is:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl.

So big or small be happy you have them:-6

I have a tiny back and need a DD cup size. It's a nightmare finding shops that stock my size. The next assistant that looks me up and down and then declares 'you are never that size' gets my fist in their face.

I find it uncomfortable to be without a bra for too long.

Once you find a bra that does fit you properly you don't get the bones digging into you though, and you really do need to be fitted, not just measured, I measure up as a C cup but they won't fit in a C cup :wah:

Mine are generally well hidden but when I do wear an uplifter it's annoying that suddenly men can't look anywhere else

I certainly don't hate them, they're not bad considering I have had two children :D

I find strapless bra's are the worst for giving you welts. Do you find that?

As a male I have never had the obsession with large breasts that some of my gender have. For me, shape of the breasts was more important than size. I always look at legs first anyway. I love good legs.

I hate breast implants of any kind and when I was between marriages dated several ladies with implants. What a turn off, visually nice, sexually terrible.

This is a very interesting subject. Some observations - these are *general* and have not got anything to do with anyone....

I agree about the possibility or a gertain greasy feeling due to perspiration - but this must depend on the ambient conditions to some extent, cf. men getting the bettys. Similar I imagine.

It really must be that very large ones interfere with physical activity (hurt) and cause postural problems - observation here, I try & keep my eyes open. Ladies with bigh *chests* do not run.

People with big ones, it seems to me, tend to have general bigness, or be rather young (& tending to...).

The cut of clothes only depends on the tailor/manufacturer. To say that someone wearing a bell tent is nicer looking than someone in an umbrella shroud is merely to abuse the tailor.

A bit of cleavage is OK. Even someone AA can use a push-up contraption, hankies, etc. etc. etc.

Wrinklies (an orange at the toe of an otherwise empty Christmas stocking) must need careful management, that's for sure. I'm sure this can be done, but if it's not done carefully, the results are not prepossessing. Note, you can't stop aging, so interests seem to branch out from the obvious to the dsubtle.

As for boob jobs, i.e. "enhancement", or "reduction" - I don't think that these are attractive propositions (from *my* point of view), in fact quite the opposite. You have what you're given, the saying goes. To balls about with that invites problems - I'd rather have something to do with an AA chest than a C that was an AA, great big lumps poking out that just look weird, or a B whucj was a 32FF all covered in old cut marks. Support 'em, use old socks or hankies or whatever, but that's all! Don't deface 'em!

It is said that a large proportion of ladies don't wear the correct size of brassiere. It could well be true. Next time you (no, not *you*!) fancy a treat, go to a proper shop, and get your things measured and something fitted properly!!

Medium here. As for the sweating problem, it can be considerable here in the desert. My solution: deodorant isn't just for underarms! It goes between and under the girls! I like having them, they make me feel feminine. I hate underwires and refuse to buy them. They HURT! Fabric ones... all the way.

I feel bad for overendowed women. I worked with a girl who was that way and they were torture for her, poor thing. I hope her family invests in a reduction for her.

I think the NHS has better things to spend their money on than my boobs. Seems wrong to expect others to pay for it.

I just need to get better Upper Decker Flopper Stoppers from M&S seeing as they reduced the cost of their larger sized ones to match the smaller ones. :-6

When I breast fed my eldest they were the most important thing.

The rest of the time they are just 'there' now 36c due to weight and body changes.

I used to walk around without a bra sometimes but as Ive gotten older I dont. I just think if they dont point skywards they shouldnt be loose.

Oh and I think bra's are the most overpriced rip off going...

A boob thread, now there is a subject I can sink my teeth into. :wah:

I am a great boob fan but not a great big boob fan. Know what I mean. :D

I'm with Lon on this, the shape matters more than the size but I have to admit I have never seen a boob I didn't like.

Has anyone else noticed, boob threads on FG seem to perk things up a bit. At least for me.

Peg has a point also. Women wear low cut dresses, show off their cleavages then complain when men look. I wonder how much they would complain if we didn't look. If you want to take sexuality out of your boobs I have the perfect solution. Let em all hang out, let us men see more boobs than we can stand for the next few years to come. Eventually we will get bored with them;) and they won't be as sexually luring.

Come on gals get em out.:-4

Rhyme I once heard:

I must

I must

I must improve my bust.

The bigger the better

The tighter the sweater

Pairsonally I'm reminded that having boobs that would fit in a champagne glass* was regarded as a sign of beauty. ( *the wide flat ones, not the long thin ones, I assume)

The wide flat champagne glass was alledgedly designed from the shape of Marie Antoinette's boobs. That's probably why that shape is/was regarded as a sign of great beauty. ;)

(The long thin champagne flute was probably based on Granny Smiths boobs!) :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl

Hmm. I can believe that. Look at the paintings of the time - mostly, they're small breasted.

Heard that the reason some really beautiful women wander around in next to nothing is that a man who can hold a conversation anyway might be worth bothering with...

Breasts are an obvious part of a woman's womanhood. In many cultures, together with a good rounded exaggerated belly and sturdy hips - they've been a symbol of fertility, the continuance of life. Like the ebb and flow of a menstrual cycle, breasts set us apart from men, as part of our feminine mystery. Some cultures fear that dynamic earthiness, and cover it up. In the 1920s, flappers bound themselves to become flat chested, so fashions change, even in the west.

A close relative of mine had minimal breasts and this distressed her so much that she sought psychological and then medical help. Her problem is now gone. She didn't want D cup breasts, just breasts. In the ward next to her was a young girl whose enormous breasts were almost crippling her. She too no longer has a problem.

Many men now have moobs - maybe it's the oestrogen we are being told is added to our foods. This must be really distressing - as maleness is breastlessness - and apparently a good proportion of breast reduction surgery now involves men.

My sister had a double mastectomy early last year - and has had to come to terms with a redefinition of her own femininity. She didn't wish to have reconstructive surgery. She's had to change her style of clothing a bit, but she's alive and fit and well again, and still glows with female mystery and sexiness.

Perhaps being fat contributes.

I've asked about oestrogen being used in farming in another thread, after someone observed that it is - no reply, AFAIK. It certainly seems to be the case that water supplies are being contaminated by oestrogen pollution, as a result of the use of contraceptive pills and HRT. I wonder whether the incidence of "moobs" is higher in industrial areas, or in sparsely-populated areas without "proper" water supply.

A good friend of mine has just had a bilateral mastectomy as well.

Only one breast was affected by cancer, but she had massive mammaries and so decided to alleviate any possible future problems by having the other one taken off as well.

She has also decided not to have reconstruction, and I doubt that she'll bother with *falsies* of any kind.

She is jubilant that she is cancer free, but she's also really pleased that she won't have to bother with wearing any bras in the future.

I'm finding it really odd with seeing her breastless;her boobs always made a statement.:-3
